CYCLE TRANSFERS
If you are taking on the Hebridean Way, we are ready to assist you to return to your departure port, from the Butt of Lewis to Eriskay. We are currently able to carry up to 8 cycles and riders in one vehicle. Additional transport is available to allow up to 12 cycles and riders. Please enquire for costs.
Please note that the increased cost for 7-8 bikes is due to the ferry crossing between Leverburgh and Berneray being required for the vehicle and trailer. Passenger tickets must be purchased separately.
Up to 8 Electric Bikes may be carried throughout Lewis and Harris but will incur a 10% levy on the advertised prices. The number will be limited to two on the Uist route unless there is a minimum of 7 cycles of any type requiring transported.
Cycle Transfers are available Monday to Saturday only.

-
Where transfer includes the Sound of Harris ferry crossing, collection times prior to sailing are Butt of Lewis 3 hours before departure; Stornoway 2 hours before departure.
-
Leverburgh ferry departure during June, July & August is 1045, April, May & September 11.40. Please be advised that tidal conditions may affect sailings.
-
For cyclists wishing to travel from Lewis to Barra, transportation is in 2 sections:
Lewis to Leverburgh and Berneray to Eriskay. Vehicles do not travel on the ferries unless there are more than 6 cycles requiring transported.
-
The service terminates at Eriskay Ferry Terminal. This requires the Barra leg to be cycled from Ardmhor to Castlebay.
-
Please ensure you have purchased your passenger tickets for both ferries in advance.
