CYCLE TRANSFERS

If you are taking on the Hebridean Way, we are ready to assist you to return to your departure port, from the Butt of Lewis to Eriskay. We are able to carry up to 6 cycles and passengers with one vehicle.​ Additional transport is available for larger groups. Monday to Saturday only.  

Trip sharing welcome.

Do you wish to cycle pannier free? Luggage transfer between accommodation is also available for an additional cost.  Please note that this is for cyclists only and luggage must be carried on ferry journeys by the owner.  Email us for details/cost.  This service is not available on Sundays.

Cycle Transfers

  • Electric Bikes will incur an additional 10% levy for the whole journey and be limited to 4.

  • Please intimate if you are happy to share with other cyclists.

  • For Leverburgh to Berneray ferry crossings, collection times prior to sailing are as follows:
    Butt of Lewis 3 hours; Stornoway 2 hours.

  • Leverburgh ferry departure during June, July & August is 1045.
    April, May & September 11.40. 

  • For cyclists wishing to travel from Lewis to Barra, transportation is in 2 sections:  
    Lewis to Leverburgh and Berneray to Eriskay.  

  • The service terminates at Eriskay Ferry Terminal.  This requires the Barra leg to be cycled from Ardmhor to Castlebay.

  • Please ensure you have purchased your passenger tickets for both ferries in advance.
